Description
This is an entirely on road route. It follows the same line as Wittiv (two) but does not go into Templeton and follow the path, which has 11 gates along some rough paths. but follows the quiet country lanes all the way between Tiverton and Witheridge. Could be wheeled, safe quiet lanes, few pavements but with verges on quiet roads. Could also be a winter alternative

17 Feb 2024Perfect winter walk. It's been raining so much this winter that the ground is saturated. This walk is all on quiet lanes and is mud free - yay!
I walked from Witheridge to Tiverton, so I had less climbing than if going the other way. There were a couple of steep climbs to get the blood pumping, but considering this route travels across the rolling green hills of mid Devon it wasn't as hilly as you'd expect.
In places there are far reaching views, but mostly they are through field gates in the hedgerow. Good route.

23 Sep 2022A route totally along roads, mostly without pavement. However, these are quiet country lanes, with little traffic and with mostly verges on one or both sides. I feel perfectly safe walking along here. It is in my opinion also safe for wheeled use, although there is a steep section at Templeton Bridge. Great views.
