Description
This route is designed to use as much as possible of the most direct surfaced track through Colwick Country Park. It also uses a new section of riverside path between Trent Lane and the country park, a short section of which is on gravel. Unfortunately there is no way to connect this to Lady Bay Bridge without walking on pavements alongside an industrial estate. If the proposed new Trent footbridge gets built it will enable a shorter and greener alternative. There are flights of steps either side of the railway bridge - these have grooves for wheeling cycles but are not suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters or pushchairs unless they can be carried up and down the steps. Most of the route can be made accessible by using more pavements at the Carlton end

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
