27 Mar 2022 Spring

A lovely route, mainly over open fields and the army training ground. It gives a great sence of space and peace. It loses one star as the start, as published, involves walking on a narrow A-road, winding through the village with no footpath for 200yds. A better alternative is to park at the village hall and walk west along Chick's Lane to rejoin the original route. Mostly over rough tracks or unmade roads. 2 A-road crossings but safe with good visiblity. Very enjoyable on a warm march weekend.
