Description
An alternative route to Trupro One retaining the excellent section between Tresillian and Probus but avoiding the section of St Clement’s Hill between Penair Secondary School and the A390 in preference of the less scenic but pavement lined A390 for safety reasons

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

29 Jun 2023Having now walked a combination of all three Trupro options I believe this route provides the second best option and would perhaps be chosen over my preferred route Trupro 3 if time was of the essence. It mirrors the same section between Tresillian & Probus as the other two routes but for the Truro to Tresillian section it follows the pavement alongside the main road in the most part only detouring through the park & ride once again on pavement to avoid a short section where the main road pavement is missing for no reason that is apparent. This roadside section is noisy and uninteresting but safe and practical. Public transport options in the way of bus stops at both ends and along much of the first half as well as shops means access to amenities is well served. Overall it’s a practical option though I’d certainly recommend Trupro 3 instead for a more enjoyable walk if you have just a little more time.

29 Jun 2023I walked the Probus to Tresillian section of this walk on TruPro one, so some notes from my review of that Slow Way to start:
Probus is a charming village, and I soon found myself deep into the countryside, travelling through beautiful woodland west of Tregurno, before emerging in Tresillian, roughly half way through the slow way. Tresillian has some ammenities, and is a good place for a rest alongside the creek if required.
It is not clear that the long driveway to Lamellyn from Probus is a public right of way - signs seems to be absent. Do perservere though as the blue and yellow arrows of joy soon emerge.
The route then continues into Truro following the main road. Although this is noisy with traffic, it is practical, with pavement all the way to the traffic lights at the entrance to the park and ride/Waitrose. The route then goes through the park and ride as there is no pavement for a short section of Union Hill.
Once through the Waitrose development it's back onto the main stretch, following pavement all the way into Truro, with a couple of crossings along the way.
Overall the Probus - Tresillian section is more peaceful and enjoyable, while the second part into Truro is practical but on pavement all the way. Still it is direct and should be considered part of the network.
