Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

26 Apr 2024April 2024. Direction: Llantrisant to Tonyrefail.
I uploaded this route to avoid the access issues detailed in my Tonlla1 review. This route follows the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way for most of the way, which is fairly well sign-posted, which is not the case for may of the other paths in the area. However, there were a couple of minor points worth mentioning:-
1. The footpath leading from the lane crossing Llantrisant common takes a sharp right hand turn just before Llwynau Farm. There is no obvious path across the field and there is a signpost as you reach the trees, but not easy to see. The path avoids going through the farm buildings, which is not a right of way.
2. After crossing the bridge over Nant Muchudd near Treferig Isha Farm, the path goes through a lovely stretch of woodland next to the Muchudd stream. The path is closed for the last few hundred metres and there is a diversion in place through the field to the east, which leads out on to the lane a little further east. It looks like the bridge for the original path is no longer in place.
