Description
This is a brilliant way to walk between Wellington and Tiverton. Everyone from Wellington and Tiverton (who feels comfortable walking nearly 30km) should try it!
It's almost entirely flat, following the old Grant Western Canal most of the way.
It's very very very similar to Tim's Tivwel Two. This version is slightly more accurate in a couple of spots where access is obvious when walking towards Wellington but less obvious if you are going the other way

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

25 Jun 2023A good alternative to existing routes. Involves more distance along the canal, rather than the quiet lane walking of tivwel2 between Halberton and Battens Bridge but makes for a route of an equal standard.

24 Jun 2023We really enjoyed this route.
So many flowers, dragonflies and fish.
The Globe (pub) in Sampford Peverell made for a good break.

24 Jun 2023This is a great Slow Way, I'd 100% walk it again.
It was a pleasure following the canal. It was easy to follow, clear and full of fish.
I should imagine that the route gets muddy in places towards Wellington in the winter and after it's been raining for a while... but it was great today.
This version is very similar to Tim's Tivwel Two. Walking towards Tiverton the access was not clear in a couple of spots and this version helps with that.
