Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

02 Nov 2022A pleasant walk. Much of it on footpaths, with some road walking on pretty quiet roads. A couple of the paths are slightly changed from that shown. At Peep O Day SE 53119 72308 there is a permissive path signed to the east side which by-passes the farmyard. This is a better alternative to the r.o.w. as shown. At Ings Bridge
SE 51050 75076, there is a r.o.w. along a footpath shown on the map. This is signed at both ends but there is a barbed wire fence, by the destroyed sign near to the bridge. Easier to walk around the lane round this field -. At the Thirsk end from Bagby, the route can be followed on footpaths as identified. However, these do get overgrown and signage is poor. In Thieas(2) I am suggesting an alternative here, which will use Green Lane. a by-way between Moor Lane and the A170 which is paved into and out of Thirsk.
