Aamwalk
10 Oct 2023I walked Stanwell Moor to Staines as part of a loop made of three routes on a warn autumn afternoon. I parked in a residential street but there is a 442 bus service.
It is a straightforward route that is easy to follow and uses tarmacked paths. Most of this section is in the Colne Valley Regional Park (one info panel, see photos).
The only down side is there are few opportunities to leave the path to explore as you are against the reservoir fence one side and hedge/dense woodland the other for most of the route.
After zig zagging through a staines housing estate and then commercial area you get to the centre of town. I continued on to the route to Ashford so missed out the centre of town.

02 Nov 2022Good route along the reservoir between Staines and Stanwell Moor. It was Autumn and the woodland alongside the footpath was very attractive.
Most of the route is footpath with good surface, but there are one or two muddy patches.
No steps, but maybe some kerbs at Stanwell Moor, and cars parked on the pavement.
At Staines the road crossing by the bus station isn’t drawn 100% accurately - use common sense and cross at the lights. Otherwise route is well drawn.

01 May 2021Pleasant route off road although paved path suitable for all. Direct path but a little boring as travels along by a high metal fence of much of the way.
