I walked this from Northwood to South Harefield, and it was a cracking route! It started off with a few residential streets in Northwood, but then it crosses a gold course (watch out for balls!) before it starts following the Hillingdon Trail for a while through Ruislips Wood. It diverged a little from that trail that I walker in March (https://derickrethans.nl/hillingdon-trail.html), through much narrower parts on the west side of "Mad Bess Wood", where it simply could have followed it instead. From there on there is some HS2 work. I didn't fancy walking north along Harvil Road (because the path was hard to find), but as I was continuing onwards to Gerards Cross (gersou2), I simply continued going along a temporary bridleway to meet up with U34 before heading North. This probably was my most favourite walk that I have done so far.

I walked from Northwood to South Harefield, a lovely walk.
After a short walk through Northwood suburban streets it is woods all the way till a short road walk at the end. The green starts alongside a golf course, then into coppiced hornbeam woodland with oak and beech. Across a road into Ruislip Nature Reserve, more lovely woodland. Again across a road into Bayhurst Wood, muddy paths, and open woods. The mapping is sloppy but most paths are clear all along this walk. Across a field, the on a muddy path parrallel to pylons to the final road part. Not a route for wheels due to narrow kissing gates, barriers, and stiles.

This is a beautiful and easy to follow route, which runs mostly through woodland and green spaces. There were a couple of places where the gpx file was a short distance off the route on the ground, but this did not cause a problem. The final stretch leading into Harefield is marked on Harvil road, but one can easily walk alongside the adjacent field border instead. I would happily walk it again and recommend to others. The woodland did not feel unsafe to me but it is fairly isolated and I would not recommend walking there alone in the dark.
