Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

16 Sep 2024The route fits the requirements of a slow way. It is direct, safe easy to navigate - for most of its lengths. It does cross open moorland between Warren Cross and Yardworthy, and although this section is mostly along the Two Moors Way, it is not signed and could be difficult in poor visibility. The walk is quite enjoyable however, because of the surrounding moorland. Unfortunatley this direct line means following the main road which crosses the moor for much of its length. The B3212 can be busy, particularly at weekends and in the summer. There is a 40 mph restriction on the moor - but this is not always adhered to. Most of the way can be walked on the wide verges at the side of the road or by stepping onto the moorland. however this is not possible in and out of Postbridge nor at Two bridges. There are refreshment opportunities at The Warren Inn, a pub and cafe at Postbridge, pub at Two Bridges.
