20 Jan 2024A straightforward, easy to follow short route through fields and along quiet lanes, with good views of Wharfedale.
Instead of crossing over the road on the bridge in Pool, you can take the path on the pavement side and loop under the road crossing into the field.

09 May 2021Enjoyable route from Stainburn to Pool. I agree with the other reviewer, not much to see in Stainburn. the view from the church bench or path from the church to the village is a better place to pause.

30 Apr 2021Nice route through fields and along a quiet country lane.
I'd recommend continuing up the hill to St Mary's church at Stainburn rather than turning right to the village. There's a bench which is good for a picnic or a quick rest before heading on, and you can shelter in the porch if it's poor weather.
