A really great route with lots of topographical variation and some stunning views over the Wharf. Ground muddy and uneven in places but an easy to follow route which made for a great day out....
Eva Outram
A straightforward, easy to follow short route through fields and along quiet lanes, with good views of Wharfedale. Instead of crossing over the road on the bridge in Pool, you can take the path on the pavement side and loop under the road crossing into the field....
Sarah
Starting and finishing along residential roads, with a good swathe of footpaths linking with a section of disused railway....
Sarah
One particularly tricky road crossing of Leeds Road, which is a fast (40, but feels faster when you are on foot!) and busy road, with not amazing visibility at that spot....
Isabelle Jones
Very rough under foot in places and unavoidable mud up to ankles in places in February....
Ross
A pleasant route quickly leaving the facilities of Yeadon, enjoying the views across the Wharfe valley and down through the quarry history above Pool. Muddy in places, some rough tracks, stiles and kissing gates, with one fast road crossing....
Ross
After the river crossing the path bears left diagonally across the field towards a large round tree in the distance. Turning sharp left the path goes along field boundaries, crosses the B6161 (great care needed because the hedge is the edge of the road and there is no verge here) then passes through the middle of a large field heading for the river Bridge at Pool....

Some bits of the route are on busy roads, there is a very busy road to cross, there are lots of stiles, some rough ground and a confusing bit through a farm where I got lost. There are some lovely stretches of walk too, across fields and along wooded paths...
LynneStrutt
the view from the church bench or path from the church to the village is a better place to pause....
Ross
I'd recommend continuing up the hill to St Mary's church at Stainburn rather than turning right to the village. There's a bench which is good for a picnic or a quick rest before heading on, and you can shelter in the porch if it's poor weather....
desoconnor
You can speed up the route by walking along the road North of Adel to Bramhope. However, the off road sections are well worth visiting. The path through Bramhope Grove Farm is not sign posted but the route on the map is possible....
Ross
- It passes through a few fields with horses, not great for those of a nervous disposition or rowdy dogs...
