Description
This is an alternative route for Pontyberem to Ammanford, avoiding the access issues flagged on Pontamm one. There are limited places to cross the A48 and this is the deciding factor in finding a safe route between Ammanford and Pontyberem - this takes you safely under it at Cefneithin.
The route goes through Mynydd Mawr country park at Tumble and Nant y Ci park near Ammanford, so the GPX is correct even where it's not following a marked footpath as there are public routes through both parks.
Overall, a mixture of road, footpath and track. If the weather has been wet, the footpath through Thornhill (between Gorslas and Capel Hendre) can be very muddy and it may be better just to follow the road. However, in half-decent weather this section of footpath makes a pleasant change from rather uninspiring road!

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
