07 Jan 2024Walked from Stalham to North Walsham. Easy walk mostly on the old railway line, gravel path to slightly muddy wider footpath.
Walk crosses a couple of fields towards the North Walsham end which were a little muddy in places but otherwise good.

07 Jan 2024This route follows the weavers way for the most part and is very easy to follow. As other reviews have said it's mostly gravel and dry underfoot with some tarmac and a couple of fields to cross. It follows the old railway so as you can imagine there are cuttings with trees and bushes alongside. It's really pretty with some ornate old railway bridges and features including an abandoned old station at Honing. There are lots of benches but not much shelter if it's raining but even with some wind today the banks cut that down. There are public toilets at each end but nothing much en route. Plenty of food options either end. After all the rain there were only a few muddy sections that you could walk round even with waterlogged fields to either side. Bikes also use stretches of the route. Section near Stalham showed plenty of "evidence" of dog walking but it was fine after that. Noting we walked towards North Walsham. Would happily repeat this. My watch tracked 12.6km.

17 Nov 2023This route is excellent for dog walkers as it follows the track of the M&GN (Muddle & Go Nowhere) railway. When everywhere else is muddy this is usually quite dry. Best start point is Stalham, or Honing Station car park (which is actually at Briggate). Can branch off to the Dilham canal or Bacton woods. Have walked all sections of this route but not as a single entity.

04 Mar 2022Nice route, a little on safe rural roads at North Walsham end, then joins the Weavers Way making a lovely off road path the rest of the route.
