Description
Similar to Netgri(one) but avoiding the main road and roundabout at the Grantown end. Mostly along the Speyside Way, easy to navigate and for the most part relatively flat. A safe route following the disused railway with no options for refreshment stops or other services. Chain stiles used which make it difficult for wheeling

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

05 Jun 2024An excellent walk. Easy to follow, as it is marked by Speyside Way National trail markers. Mostly the route follows the disused railway. There are chain stiles to negotiate in places, which make it difficult for those with pushchairs, wheelchairs, bikes etc, It is however easy walking. At the Grantown end this route uses the Old Military road through the woodland and so avoids the main road and roundabout.
