Walk this routeThe chain stiles used along the riverside walk along the disused railway do as suggested make wheeling very difficult ., But for easy walking the route on this section is ideal....

between Cromdale and the path up and down the Cromdale Hills.And the section between Glenconglas and Tho old kennels near Tomintoul. The woodland section between Cromdale and Grantown is well marked with National Trail signs....

At the Grantown end, the route follows the main road for a short distance....
You could possibly take a more off-road / back streets option for the first km or so, leaving Forres, but that would involve more steps, so on balance, this is probably the best route....
