Description
This is not always a better route, but it is one which has a much better chance of being walkable when the river Soar is high or the fields in the flood plain are flooded. It also passes more shops and pubs in Quorndon. This was the route I walked on a day when the flooding was quite extensive. All of the road sections have good pavements, and the crossings are reasonably safe
