Description
This route connects Holborn to Liverpool Street Station; the aim is to have a Slow Ways route that (as far as possible) uses the quieter back roads, is (as far as possible) direct, and is accessible to all, i.e. step free.
One notable feature is that between the London Museum and Moorgate the route uses the Highwalk, a raised pedestrian walkway through part of the Barbican estate. Access is via lifts (Photo), with stairs or escalator as alternative options. The Highwalk gives a good view of the excavated Roman city wall. (Photo)
