Description
Almost exactly the same as Hamwic one but routes around the blocked access on that route through Lodge Farm and tweaks the route a little either way onto better pathways in linear parks and open spaces through Emerson’s Green.
Note that the plot of the route through Shortwood Golf Course (which appeared disused in November 22) is a little approximate on the ground, as is the route of the public footpath marked on the OS map.
Also note that from October 22 the bus service from The Crown at Hambrook, where this route starts/ends no longer has a regular bus service, as it has been withdrawn. The public transport link for Hambrook is now on the Bristol dual carriageway ring road to the south. Walk down the B4058 to the south to the junction with this road and the bus stops lie a little to the east

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
