11 Nov 2022On the whole a decent route on 10/11/2022. There are about 8 stiles some of which are easy. A couple of dodgy ones though and care needed crossing the 3 lanes on the A36. Not too hilly but surfaces can be slippy and uneven in some places. I deviate to the north around Chapmanslade to avoid walking alongside the A3098 through the village. The suggested walk time is unrealistic for the terrain. It took me 2hrs 45mins at a reasonably brisk pace.

01 Nov 2021Easy to follow with map. Terrain good may be muddy in places during wet spells (ploughed fields).

27 Jun 2021A pleasant walk out from Frome through gently rolling pasture land, climbing to a ridge on which sits the village of Chapmanslade then descending through an old sunken lane to further fields before reaching Dilton Marsh. After Dilton Marsh, the path continues through arable fields until reaching a road and railway (path passes under) at Penleigh, after which the route is more urban into Westbury.
