Description
I have slightly amended the route of Eyeber one to avoid the end of the route, which runs along the A1 for a short distance, and generally to follow the Berwickshire Coast Path. There were one or two slight deviations on Eyeber one, 1. the route out of Eyemouth now follows the Coast Path, 2.avoiding leaving the Coast Path at Burnmouth, and heading to Upper Burnmouth for some reason, 3. avoiding the diversion (maybe to the hotel) at Marshall Meadows and 4., as I say, avoiding the A1 to walk around the golf course and holiday village as entering Berwick-upon-Tweed. I walked the route in the opposite direction - my exact route (which commenced at Berwick-upon-Tweed train station, and continued past Eyemouth to Coldingham) with various photos can be seen at https://www.komoot.com/tour/1325169964

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

19 Jun 2024A lovely route, mainly grassy paths along the top of the cliffs following the signs of the Coast Path.
The waymarking is clear and the scenery splendid. There is quite a bit of up and down - especially the dramatic descent to Lower Burnmouth and the climb back up - but that is one of the highlights of the walk.
Sadly there is nowhere for a rest or drink except for the detour to the pub already mentioned.
However this is a highly recommended route.

07 Oct 2023[This repeats my review for Eyeber one.] I walked the Berwickshire Coast Path between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Cockburnspath, then the John Muir Link to Dunbar over the course of three days in September 2023, including receiving a good soaking from Storm Agnes! The route incorporates Eyeber, although I walked it the other way. Maybe this was the most attractive part of the whole route, once out of Berwick-upon-Tweed. There are limited places to stop en route, although the hotel at Marshall Meadows and the First and Last Inn at Upper Burnmouth weren't far from the route (and both may be featured in Eyeber one). I have proposed this alternative route mainly in order to avoid following the A1 near Berwick-upon-Tweed. My route and photos can be seen at https://www.komoot.com/tour/1325169964
Parts of the route were quite up and down, but generally this was a pleasant and enjoyable walk. The route runs very close to the main railway line, and near the Scotland/England border, the path was very narrow - I had difficulty getting the sheep away from the path in such a way as to stop them falling over the steep cliffs, of course, they were more sure-footed than I!.
