Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

09 Aug 2023On the plus side Easingwold and sheriff Hutton are lovely villages. Lots of problems with this walk though - a lot of walking on the road (& reasonable amount of traffic), lots of stiles - some very high, others very unstable. The route seems to have been moved by property owners in parts. Walked in August in rain, significant amount of flooding. Would suggest find8ng a different route.

04 Aug 2023Struggling to even give this one star, although walked the route in August it was a very wet day which perhaps didn't help.
Poor waymarks:
- although a sign pointed the path (as per the map in the photo) towards a building, there was no way to get through
- some signs were hidden by shrubbery
- walked 2 extra miles because of the poor signage
Cows & bulls in fields to walk through
Had to walk a fair bit on roads with lorries etc. passing by which was not especially great with all the puddles!
Stiles were hidden, in disrepair or too high to easily get over.
