Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

08 Jul 2023A lovely walk through woodland with interesting historic buildings. I actually started at Horsley Station (I'd walked most of the starting paths before) and turned north up the B2039 then turned right into the Drift where I picked up the original route. There's a short road walk to Mays Green but the road was quiet. The footpath from there is not easy to find! There's a kissing gate to the left of a cottage and you follow round a large hedge. Much of this section is overgrown until you reach Orchard Farm. On reaching Ockham Manor I turned along a small path on the right instead of going straight on in order to see the Samuelson Mausoleum (///jazzy.froze.plus). Path length about the same. Continuing north you can also see the Chatley Heath Semaphore Tower on a short diversion. After crossing the M25 there's a short road walk (very quiet) along Pointers Road. The path to Cobham is across several fields and stiles - not totally obvious - but eventually reaches Downside Bridge for a pavement walk into Cobham. Plenty of cafes in the village.
