Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

03 Apr 2024Walked this route from Headley: bus from Dorking to Cock Inn Pub in Headley. Lovely walk across Headley Heath , lower slopes of Box hill and through Denbies vineyard to Dorking. Keep an eye on route through Headley as easy to wander off main route!, Much of the walk is on all weather paths so not so much mud and only one stile! Toilets and snacks either at café opposite Burford Bridge hotel or pub at Westhumble.

18 May 2023Pleasant country walk across Headley Heath to bottom of Box Hill and into Dorking. I actually started at Tadworth (on Heaban 3) - an extra 2 miles, to make use of public transport. Some of the paths on this route are used by horses. Parts of the route are quite steep. There are a few stiles to cross. The Leech Lane (B2033) road walk in Headley can be avoided by using Tot Hill Lane and Tumber Street. Pub and general store (with tea room) in Headley. Shops and toilets in Dorking.
