Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

25 Oct 2021Lovely walk varied scenery and environment , just one bit through the woods where we had some trouble finding the path.

27 Jun 2021A beautiful scenic route with lovely views. Varies between open fields, country lanes and woodland. Setting off from Denholme involves mostly downhill with a couple of steep uphill climbs. A couple of sections are on the road; there's no pavement on Old Allen Road, but walking down through Wilsden is on the main street which has pavement on both sides of the roads.
A couple of the footpaths were overgrown with nettles so take care.
Numerous stiles; most of them were dog-friendly, however a couple (thinking particularly of after you turn off Lane Side into High Cotes) are quite high with no gaps for a dog - but they could be lifted over if they're small/light enough!.

19 May 2021Upland route with spectacular views mostly on public footpaths. If you start at Denholme probably about 80% of route is downhill, starting Bingley 80% uphill, sometimes steep. Refreshments available approx halfway at Wilsden.
