27 May 2021Agree with the other reviews. I usually take the more direct route Cuchay two, which is also a better route for cyclists between these locations.

13 May 2021A popular local route which avoids the main roads but is nonetheless paved all the way. The middle section between Wheatsheaf Lane and Blunts Wood provides attractive views and a short woodland section lit with streetlights after dark.
The Cuckfield end via South Street to Church Platt has sections with narrow or no pavements on one side of the road or the other. It can be avoided by heading into the churchyard along Church Street.
To my mind the section zig-zagging behind the Leisure Centre and Lucastes Lane is unnecessary. It also includes a short twitten with more than 20 steps. Straight along Harlands Road is more direct and avoids the obstacles.

30 Apr 2021This is a very sensible route and avoids road as much as possible. The walk through Blunts Wood and Paiges Wood is particularly nice.
At the Cuckfield end I would suggest cutting down Church Street directly to the Church rather than going out to Church Platt and Church Street. This will shorten the route by several hundred yards.
