25 Oct 2025If you want to do this, use Wilbra One and Croowil One. That's a straightforward no problems route. Unlike this...
I started in Brandon.
Top problems
1) Barbed wire across the path. Thank you, farmer.
2) Broken stiles - See photos. And there are a lot of stiles.
3) A nasty bit of walking by the side of the road with no pavement after you leave the railway path.
The barbed wire is between Stockley Lane and Park House. I decided not to crawl under the barbed wire and backtracked to the road and took an alternative path beside Oakenshaw Wildlife Reserve. That was difficult too, though I did get to see a goat wearing a onesie. You don't get to see those very often.
So, it does have nice aspects but its only for the agile and those who like a few challenges. I managed to complete it. Some of those stiles though are really treacherous. Be warned!.
