Description
There are many woodlands and other greenspaces in this area, particularly along the steeper sides of the valleys. This route alternates between a few of them and some, mostly, well-to-do residential areas. This route goes along semi-urban green footpaths, over a golf course (surprisingly dog-walker friendly on a weekday evening), through shady In Wood (try googling that), then alternating between well-to-do residential roads and small areas of steeper woodland until Foxley Lane evolves from a muddy track to a full tarmac road. From there it's 800m downhill on slightly less quiet roads to Kenley Station.
CouKen 1 looks a little dull as it's under 15% off-road, and it uses an alleyway off Hartley Hill which doesn't appear on maps and also doesn't seem to exist using Google Street View. If you include a fix for the alleyway there's only 1km (and 20m) difference between the two

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
