Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Coulsdon’s Slow Ways.

This is a lovely countryside walk - I went from Coulsdon to Netherene....

It goes through the residential roads between Purley and Coulsdon and does involve some uphill. It is all via paths or sidewalks so quite firm underfoot. There is are a couple of footpaths that you need to keep an eye out for but otherwise it is fairly straightforward to follow on the map....

There was at least one stile at the west exit from the golf course, and I can't remember the other golf course exit I don't think there were any other gates or stiles. There were very few players on the golf course, but a dozen or so dogs and their humans enjoying the grounds, not just the path at all, despite the usual fierce signs. Maybe it's just a pre-dusk thing because the course is quiet....

I had lived in Coulsdon for years before finding out about the path at the Mount that takes you into Sutton. On a clear day I recall there being impressive views of the city. The path is the only link into the rest of the LB of Sutton, without having to leave the borough!...

Here it follows the Farthing Downs Tree Belt, instead of the top-of-the hill route that the LOOP follows into Coulsdon. After going past Coulsdon South station, the route then finishes as Coulsdon Town along an industrial estate....
