Description
A walk mostly through woods and trees, past ponds and lakes and following a picturesque brook. Ideal walk if you're looking for some peace and quiet. Lots of wildlife along the way : herons, geese, birds of prey, deer, rabbits and foxes. This route is a variation on Clewbew 1 : it now follows the beautiful Dowles Brook and also includes a correction to the route as there is a diverted path near Breakneck Bank (which is not on OS maps)

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

23 Dec 2023 (edited 24 Dec 2023)Five star route ! Amazing woodland walk with so much to see including a beautiful brook and a large lake with large fowl. I took the route early in the morning which is a great time to get the sun light through the trees.
(I did this walk two years ago and was going to write up a review then but two days later I was in AMU for a week - so completely forgot until now).
