Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

24 Oct 2023An excellent route. Stunning views of cliffs and rolling hills. Plenty of opportunity for wild life spotting ' particularly now with the wetlands at Budleigh. Climbing may be a bit tough for some but the views are just reward.

16 Dec 2022This is a great walk and quite possibly the best way to get between Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth!
Really enjoyed the sea views, coastline and hills.
We walked this route as part of a hike between Budleigh Salterton and Honiton.
In the winter and when it's been raining you can expect some slippery sections. There's a cafe at Ladram Bay Holiday Park, in the middle section of the route.

01 Jan 2022Walk this route frequently from Sidmouth to Budleigh Salterton and then bus back after a pub lunch. Part of the SW Coast Path.
A couple of steep and muddy ascents and descents by Peak Hill and High Peak but this was on 30 Dec after quite a lot of rain.
Not an accessible route for those with any mobility challenges and generally requires a reasonable level of fitness.
