Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Nov 2022A nice diversion through the wildlife park if you fancy it. Brugos3 is more direct if you have places to be or aren't familiar with the area.
Northern mum
30 Dec 2021Not the most picturesque route but crossing the A1 can be tricky so as good as any. This version differs from the first with a detour into the nature reserve. It is nice there, but mostly a worn path rather than any surfacing so it is very muddy in the winter and not very accessible (see pics).
The bridge over the railway line has some obstacles - I will measure next time. I think they would be wheelchair accessible but not sure about cargo bikes/mobility scooters. It is also very muddy on the north side. Bridge was fairly steep on both sides.
Bridge over A1 also has barriers and is steep.
Other than that, roads were easy to cross and mostly quiet. Not signposted but easy enough to find your way.
