A nice diversion through the wildlife park if you fancy it. Brugos3 is more direct if you have places to be or aren't familiar with the area...

Walk this route

Just about the most sensible and direct walking route from the centre of Ponteland village to the Kingston Park / Fawdon area, or vice versa, which offers a very nice walking experience with regards to variation in the surroundings. as well as for walking; past the Airport in a way which lets you take a look at the airport front building; then along Ponteland Road quite parallel to the Metro line which in many places allows you to view the trains going by, including taking you through the quiet and picturesque village of Woolsington and then past some (as of 2022) new or in-progress housing estates, ending with a cut through some housed areas via some well-paved footpaths taking you through to Fawdon....

Walk this route

Uploaded as a suggested alternative to the original route, as this is more direct and easy to navigate - not do many twists and turns. Start and end are via pleasant quiet paths and roads....

Walk this route

It is nice there, but mostly a worn path rather than any surfacing so it is very muddy in the winter and not very accessible (see pics). I think they would be wheelchair accessible but not sure about cargo bikes/mobility scooters....
