Description
Low traffic route between Bromley (Bromley South station) and Chislehurst (Royal Parade) based on local knowledge. Turn immediately right from outside Bromley South station and walk down and under the Kentish Way into a quiet residential area. Follow the route until you reach Tylney Road where turning left takes you to the Oak pub which is a nice place to stop (no dogs though). Cross over Tylney Road and follow the route until you see a sign for Bickley station. Take the road down towards Bickley station and take the footpath on the left that runs along the railway. Turn right and then left at the end of the footpath. Follow the road to the end and then cross over Blackbrook Lane. Follow this road (Barfield Lane) down and under two railway bridges until you come to the end where there is an unmade road. (Turning left here will take you to Chislehurst station) turn right and walk past the house on the left, there are often cars parked here by walkers, at the end turn left into National Trust Hawkwood (this is a really nice area to explore and there are circular walks around the area) follow this path over the footbridge and keep following it uphill past a field on the left (which may have sheep or cattle in it). The wood on the left is called Pond Wood and has a path leading around it if you feel like a diversion. Keep following this path along a field on the right until you reach an unmade road. Turn left here and walk up past Coopers school and on into Chislehurst

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
