This is a good route, with minor edits recommended to make it better. I walked it in reverse from Kempston to Bromham, except for the part past Bromham Bridge - which was open but this last 1km has been well reviewed previously and on the Bromham to Bedford route.

At Kempston, the start point is a memorial on a roundabout. Arguably this could be repositioned further north towards Sainsburys and the Saxon Centre with further iterations, as this seems more central for the settlement and a well known meeting place.

The route itself crosses a few bridges including a footbridge with steps, then heads north across Great Denham Country Park, which is a delightful interlude from the suburbs. There is a cafe here (Archers Rest) which is a good stopping point. The route then heads toward the river via the A6. There are some slopes, and camber to get down to the Ouse Valley Way and a metal kissing gate at the north end. This is a nice riverside gravelled but narrow track which would be muddy in winter.

I stopped at Bromham Bridge and headed to Bedford, but can confirm that this bridge has very small (but frequent) passing places which wouldn't necessarily be suitable for wheels.

Two small additional points. I have added photos of two areas on route where better routing could be achieved. North of Great Denham Park, there is a dog-leg which seems strange and could be quicker via the S to N footpath link, and also at the very start of the route (if going from Kempston), there is a path which cuts a small amount of time just after near Papa Johns - see attached.

Walked from Bromham to Kempston. However I started the walk at Bromham bridge. The bridge has no footpath but does have passing places for pedestrians.

The walk is really nice and I would definitely walk it again.

A good direct and flat route from Bromham to Kempston, mostly on surfaced paths. The walk from Bromham to Great Denham along the river is pleasant, despite the sound of traffic. There is a more direct route through Great Denham, now that building on that side of the village is completed, however the route given here does still work. Mill Bridge on the edge of Kempston has been repaired and is now open again.
