This is a wonderful route - easy and scenic. I have nothing much to add except to thank the creator of version Two since it is clearly a vast improvement on walking through the streets at the Christchurch end, especially the part beside the River Stour. I would say that if it's a nice day, and you have the energy, it is well worth extending the walk at the eastern end of the seafront, towards Hengistbury Head.

I followed this route in the Christchurch to Bournemouth direction. Very enjoyable, if a little crowded on a blazing August bank holiday Monday. After a start through a little park and along not terribly exciting suburban roads for the first kilometre or so, it is five-star waterside walking most of the way, first along the river and then, after a relatively peaceful gravelly path by estuarine marshes and another little hop through some suburban housing, several miles of promenade above the sandy beach, which was absolutely hanging today, especially round Bournemouth and Boscombe piers. The plot of the route is a little wayward, appearing to go along the beach over all the groynes, but it’s obvious where the Slow Way goes! One kissing gate and a couple of footpath gates along the way and almost all flat except some short access paths to beach and riverside. My only complaint is that it is a bit of a trek to the railway stations at both ends of the route, but that is not a fault of the Slow Way itself.

This BouChr2 route is enjoyable with over 4 miles of walking on the promenade next to the sands. Then the route is completed walking through Christchurch to the end point. The route can readily be walked in a variety of weather situations because the majority of the walk is hard surface promenade, pavement and path and is level. For these sections, access using wheeled forms of travel will work.
Only in Christchurch, heading to the river, is there a short section on grass which could be circumnavigated if necessary.

This route was chosen as part of a volunteering day. The scenery was beautiful, we were lucky that the weather was good making the walk one enjoyed by everyone. This was a very flat route (only a few occasions where the path was a slight incline) and accessible for most people. The final part of the walk into Christchurch was particularly nice and very scenic. Overall, i would thoroughly recommend this walk to people.
