15 Jun 2026Walked as part of the National Parks Challenge 2026. Route out of Boroughbridge along the river is good although I had to jump into a field to avoid a bunch of lively calves. After the river, it’s mostly roads which are safe but tedious; the views aren’t great - large scale industrial farming; and some paths on the route are not passable eg the RH turn off the cycle route in the photo below. There does not appear to be other alternative routes. A solid 3.
