04 Jul 2021This route was walked from Blackwater Station to Farnborough Station, and follows part of the Blackwater Valley Path, before turning off into Farnborough.
There is a flight of Steps at Blackwater station, but also a path that can be used that detours the steps. The A30 is very busy at the Meadows roundabout but a pedestrian crossing allows for a safe crossing. The flight of steps between the A331 and A325 can be bypassed on a small detour, although this was not taken in this review.
The route is mostly on tarmac or compacted surface with a few stretches that could become muddy in wet weather. The section through Farnborough is walking on pavements besides roads with a pedestrian crossing to Farnborough station.
The walk was pleasant and I would walk it again.
