Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Hiking Historian
13 Nov 2022A variation of BELWID Two, trying to improve access.
Replacing a problematic footpath section with a longer section on a disused railway path, followed by a long tarmac path through the estates of Halewood. A few street walks next, and a brief visit to Court Farm Woods.
A few more roads, including Greenbridge Road, where the pavement shifts from left to right on blind bends, so you need your wits about you!
Then a very long field walk through farms, until we eventually arrive in Hough Green. Walking along the streets of Ditton, eventually bringing us to Widnes.
A good walking route linking the two places, but the terrain and lack of ramps in places makes this very much a foot-only route, despite trying hard to find an accessible-to-all option.
