Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Jul 2023Leaving a review to flag the route for safety and accuracy. I was going to walk this route, but upon closer inspection of the GPX file I got concerned about the amount of time spent on the A82. The walk between Bridge of Orchy and Kingshouse is great and really worth a walk. But issues begin when the route goes through the Pass of Glencoe.
Walk Highlands folks mostly weren't aware of any through route through the Pass of Glencoe, cautioning great care or some adventurous walking on tough terrain to the north and south of the road.
However, one person has said that you don't have to walk the road apart from crossing it. (This is going west) If going west, where the route tells you to join the A82 at the Meeting of Three Waters, find the uphill path just behind the white house that runs for a couple minutes along the stream to an easy for. You then continue west along the hill to the car park west of the Meeting of Three Waters. You choose 2 options: continue along the hill to the next car park and cross the road, OR cross the road, where you'll find a foot trodden path behind the guard rail for 100m. You'll then be able to join a footpath the rest of the way.
So if anyone is interested in the above option, it might be worth trying that out and uploading the route here if that works better!.
