Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

09 May 2023An easy route, which took me about 3.5 hours, excluding stops. Not particularly exciting, but pleasant enough, and I was fortunate to see one of the Spey Valley steam trains up close at one point. A mixture of the Speyside Way, forest trails and minor roads. I varied the route slightly towards the end. At NH 910 211, where the forest path touches the B9153 I instead followed the well signed Carr Plantation Trail into Carrbridge. This track shadows the road for a bit and then follows forest paths, before emerging by the village hall. It's not visible on the OS maps, however.
A decent route to get you between the two places.
