Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

28 Feb 2022This isn't an easy route for wheels as some of the footpaths are very uneven. I walked this route from Blackrod to Aspull
The route starts on residential footpaths it then enters a field with no real footpath but a number of sheep and inquisitive horses. The path is rough and you will encounter a kissing gate and stile. After crossing the footbridge you head up a tricky path that was at the edge of an arable field.
The path after Freezeland farm was reasonable but it became very muddy after you passed through Gorses farm. There were a lot of horses in the first field you passed through. The footpath is reasonable until you join residential footpaths after Stanley Nook farm.
