Route description
This route heads east along Maidenhead High Street until it meets Bridge Road (The A4) heading east, over the River Thames where it becomes the Bath Road. On reaching Berry Hill junction, head south along Amerden Lane until you reach the Jubilee River path heading east. You follow the Jubilee River path for much of the remainder of the route until heading North East up the Windsor Road into Slough towards the end point at Slough Rail Station. This route offers a more scenic and more off-road alternative to simply walking along the A4 from Maidenhead to Slough. This route does pass under the M4 alongside the river. When the river water is particularly high, this section of the route will be impassable, but as the river serves as a flood relief channel, this should be infrequent.
