There is a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal to the ferry itself but this is level and along tarmac. There are internal steps in the ferry but I noticed that a lift was available as it should be....

Across the boiling waters from the lovely town of Stromness to the only hilly part of Orkney. Takes bikes, bit of a clamber in and out....

First half of this slow way sitting in the bar watching the football, second half watching the seabirds and the approach to Orkney. Its a very easy, quite posh boat ride past the fabulous Old Man of Hoy with always a promise of major marine mammals, and some stunning birds to spot. Bit cheaty but lovely....
