The road sections generally felt safe as there was either paths or safe verges....

The route guides you round the edge of the farm buildings and yard, before heading west through some easy to follow footpaths towards a wood. Leave the well made up road on to muddy path (pic 4) and head down to the stream looking for bridge (pic 5). You emerge on a service road for large sports hall and then after turning left on to Holmside Lane (pic 6), there is a short walk on the road. The path is easy to follow once you leave the industrial area (pic 12) and then Charlaw Lane takes you west into the centre of the town (pic 13)....
