29 Oct 2022Apart from the Staines town centre traffic this is a decent low traffic green route which fits in crossing the M25, A30, and the railway line (twice).
Be prepared for nettles and soft ground in the section between the M25 and Wraysbury station. Possible horses too. There is a stile and gates.
The route goes through the centre of Staines, a lot of shops, cars and car park, culminating in a shopping centre leading up to the meeting point at the bus station. Plenty of refreshments but nothing very individual.
Wraysbury has an excellent pub conveniently located by the meeting point.

31 Jul 2022I walked this on a warm but overcast Saturday, from Wraysbury to Staines.
Most of the route follows the rail way, but it starts along a lovely brook. It's not a very big path in sections. The side of the big reservoir had lots of sheep on it, but the path wasn't very nice. After crossing the M25 into London, there is a little lane walking, before crossing the Staines Aqueduct, after which its along roads and through a shopping centre to the finish. It's fairly short, but it wasn't the most interesting walk.

27 Jun 2021A pleasant walk although not suitable for non able bodied persons due to type of paths and stile. On tracks, rather than paved sections, these are narrow and when we walked this route, the paths were overgrown with nettles and brambles. The field section was also long and therefore the path was unclear. A couple of sections could be a bit muddy if wet. Otherwise a good route for walking.
