I completed this walk yesterday travelling southwest from Wednesfield. It's a very safe and easy route to follow, mainly utilising canal towpaths along the Wyrley and Essington, but also the Birmingham canals.

The only sniff of a challenge was navigating the muddy puddles over a short section of unsealed towpaths at the Wednesfield end (photos 2 & 3). A good slow way which avoids roads.

Very direct, simple and safe route via canal towpath. No stiles or steps. Transport links at either end. Lots of shops, pubs and eateries as well as a cinema at the Wednesfield end.
