Description
Windsor to Wraysbury via Datchet and Sunnymeads.
The direct route would be to cross the river to Old Windsor by ferry; however nowadays there is only the memory of a ferry where the route passes 'Old Ferry Road', and we must walk round the river bends via Datchet until we get to a bridge.
Good refreshments at Datchet, and railway stations at Sunnymeads and Datchet.
Steps and gates. Some of the paths may be soft ground, and muddy, especially the section along the river between Datchet and the bridge crossing to Windsor, which may flood.
Based on Winwra One, substituting Datchet Common for a large chunk of the Horton Road section. This is a routing I've preferred for all the walks in the Datchet area, as I find the Horton Road is quite fast and busy to walk alongside

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
