Description
This route is suitable for walkers only.
The route leaves Winchester via Riverside Park and St. Swithun's Way/Alan King Way, then follows quiet lanes and paths away from roads through Kings Worthy before picking up the Watercress Way. This takes you as far as Alresford Drove, which you leave to roughly follow the mainline railway north along paths, tracks, and quiet roads to Micheldever Station.
Road walking is restricted to stretches that are straight and consequently have good visibility, as well as being reasonably quiet
