Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

28 May 2022This is a relatively easy route to walk. Great coastal views and on a clear day you can see the Isle of Man.
The paths are well defined, most of the route follows the English Coastal route which is very well way marked.
There are no styles on the route. There are a number of gates and one set of steps at Harrington. The steps can be avoided but you will need to walk on the side of the road for a short distance and there is no pavement.
At Harrington you are much better following the Coastal Path rather than diverting in land, unless you want to call in at the post office for an ice cream.
